Established in 1985 along
the North River in Jacksonville, the North River Winery was Vermont's
first bonded winery. North River Winery produces 20,000 gallons
(100,000 bottles) of wine annually, most of it from fruit that
is organically grown at the nearby Dwight Miller Orchard. Its
award-winning wines come in eleven different varieties, including
Green Mountain Apple, Rhubarb, Woodland Red and Blueberry Apple.
The North River Winery is open year round, seven
days a week (10-5) for free tastings and sales, and they offer
free tours from late May to December. You can also go online
to take a virtual tour of the winery. The North River Winery can
be reached at 1-802-368-7557. |
