Maple Popcorn

This can also be made with mixed cereals or nuts in place of the popcorn.

1 tablespoon butter
1 cup maple syrup
3 tablespoons water
3 quarts popped corn

Combine all but the popcorn and bring to a boil. Continue to boil until reaching soft ball stage (about 235 degrees). Add the popcorn and stir quickly until all kernels are evenly coated, continuing to stir until the mixture is cool.
