1/4 cup maple syrup
dash salt or pepper
3 well-beaten egg yolks
dash ginger
Pour maple syrup into a pot and bring it to a boil. Whisk
in the egg yolks and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove
from heat and cool. Season with salt and pepper and a small dash of
ginger to taste.
