Wilson Castle

Wilson Castle was build in the mid-19th century and was the home to five generations of the Wilson family. It is now open to the public and offers visitors a treasure chest of luxurious treats, including:

  • 32 rooms on 115 acres
  • collections of Oriental and European furniture and decorative arts
  • arches, turrets and parapets
  • 84 stained-glass windows
  • 13 fireplaces
  • hand painted ceilings
  • a giftshop

The grounds are also open for picnicking and contain barns, stables and an aviary stocked with peacocks.

Wilson Castle is open daily mid-May to late-October, 9-6. Admission is $6.50/adults, $5.75/seniors and $2.10/children 6-12. Children under 6 are free. Wilson Castle is located in Center Rutland and can be reached at 802-773-3284.
