Kidsplace

Kidsplace's mission?

Mission statement:
KidsPLAYce fosters the healthy development of young children through playful and joyful learning experiences, while strengthening families through a supportive community environment.

Organization history
Established in 1983, with a goal of fostering positive adult child interaction, KidsPLAYce is a nonprofit children’s discovery center where children and their families play, create, learn, and discover together. Since then, KidsPLAYce has helped to strengthen a sense of community by providing a safe, convenient, family-friendly center that serves over 2,000 children each year.

Located in the heart of downtown Brattleboro, KidsPLAYce is open to the public each year from September until June. KidsPLAYce offers interactive and educational exhibits including a small library, climbing structures, building blocks and a variety of art supplies for children to let their imaginations come to life.

Throughout our history, KidsPLAYce has provided a gathering place for stay at home parents, working parents, homeschooling families, children with social care providers, and early educators. Every day, families share our space and discover how KidsPLAYce bridges ethnic, educational and economic differences. Together, both children and parents share a KidsPLAYce experience that fosters engagement and learning in a way that is fun for the whole family.

"Our hours are Tues - Fri 10-5pm and Saturdays 10-4pm. Our season is from the end of September until the end of May. Our daily admission is $6 for children. Our yearly membership for a family is $95."
