Virtual Vermonter - Over The Border

Vermont isn't the only jewel in the Northeast. There are any number of fantastic things to visit and see that are just a short drive from the Green Mountain State, such as the following:

New Hampshire

	Beaver Pond Scenic Area This is a fabulous place to picnic or just relax on the western edge of the White Mountain National Forest (right around Benton on Route 112).
	Lost River Gorge This series of gorges and rock caves in North Woodstock offers a great time for the semi-adventurous. They also have hiking paths and a number of picnic areas.
	Piermont Plant Pantry Pumpkin Lighting Each year at Halloween, the Piermont (NH) Plant Pantry features a pumpkin lighting, with thousands of carved pumpkins scattered around their woods and fields.
	Swiftwater Covered Bridge The covered bridge in Swiftwater, at the western edge of the White Mountains.
