The Catamount Trail

The Catamount Trail - Starting on the Massachusetts border, this 300 mile trail winds its way north through Vermont to the Canadian border offering terrific back-country skiing and snowshoeing for all abilities. The Trail follows old logging roads, crosses farmlands, woodlands and some of Vermont's finest cross-country ski centers and passes numerous inns and lodges. The Catamount Trail Association (CTA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to maintaining and protecting the Trail and fostering cross-country skiing in Vermont, offers a guidebook, maps, inn-to-inn brochures and other materials for planning day or overnight trips.
