Branbury State Park
- The park is divided by Route 53. Twenty-two tent sites and 6 lean-to
sites are on one side of the highway in a heavily wooded area, and 17
tent sites are located along the perimeter of a grassy open area near
the beach. Flush toilets, hot showers ($), and a dump station are provided.
The 1000 foot natural sandy beach, clean, clear Lake Dunmore, and the
large open grassy areas make the area very popular for swimming, sunning,
or picnicking. Salisbury.
Button Bay State Park
- The camping area is generally an open, grassy area overlooking Lake
Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains to the west. There are 73 sites
including 13 lean-tos. Flush toilets, hot showers ($), and a dump station
are provided. Vergennes.
D.A.R. State Park -There
are 70 sites including 24 lean-tos located in an open grassy area, as
well as under a mature stand of hickory trees. There are flush toilets,
hot showers ($), and a dump station provided. Addison.
Granville Gulf State Reservation
- The Granville Gulf State Reservation is a seven-mile stretch of untouched
wilderness that runs along Route 100 north of Granville. A two-lane
winding road runs through the reservation alongside the Mad River, and
one of the highlights of this route is Moss Glen Falls (located on the
left hand side as you head north). Addison.
Green Mountain Audubon Nature Center
- The Green Mountain Audubon Nature Center is located on 255 acres that
was a working farm into the 1940s. Today it offers a diverse mix of
habitats, including fields, ponds, forests, swamps, rivers and more.

Kingsland Bay State
Park - Picnicking, swimming, and toilet facilities are available.
There are several buildings available for large group gatherings including
family reunions, weddings, and company picnics. Ferrisburg.
Mt. Philo State Park
- There are two small camping areas with a total of 10 sites including
3 lean-tos, located at the top of the mountain and on the mountainside.

The Vermont Wildflower Farm
- There are 6 acres of field and forest habitat with over 250 wildflower
species. The flowers are labeled with detailed, interesting signage
explaining not only the botanical information, but also featuring the
fascinating Native American uses and even the romantic legends that
surround many of our wildflowers. Charlotte.
