Natural Landscapes of Vermont

Vermont is located in Northeastern regionof United States of America and it is a New England state which borders New Hampshire to the east along with New York to the west. It also borders U.S states of Massachusetts to its south whereas Quebec to its North.Vermont’s western border is mostly surrounded by Lake Champlain and New York State. However, Green Mountains run north-south the length of the state.

Serene Landscapes across Vermont

Vermont’s surface are mostly covered with forests and it covers more than three-quarters of Vermont’s surface. Rest of the surface is covered with meadows, lakes, highlands and farmlands. The landscape of Vermont steals your heart with their natural beauty and scenic view. Vermont is blessed with such heart throbbing landscapes and they are believed to be made up of rolling farmlands as long as your eye could see. Green fields that are dotted with cows and sheep’s are stretched until they see the horizon. The international and domestic trade is so huge that the government of Vermont has declined the farming in such landscape. Nature of land is also one of the reasons restraining from agriculture. The revenue generated from tourists itself says the undeniable beauty of Vermont landscape.

Improved Lifestyle of Vermont People

The credit of increased milk production goes toa high amount of production for  each cow.The soil if Vermont is extremely rocky due to the glacial action. Geologists say that some part of the soil is very acidic in nature and have low nutrients and organic matter. This makes difficult for farmers to do agriculture in Vermont landscapes.

Vermont transition is a good method to enriched transportation system. It eventually brings the Vermont goods to north and south regions which are considered to be growing commercial populations. People get benefited in very convenient manner due to this Vermont transition. Previously, people used to struggle a lot to get goods from one end.The chief outlet for the champion valley was made via Lake Champion to Montreal and to the north.

Changing Landscape and its effects

Recently a report has come stating that the forests in Vermont have been cleared and the reason being fuelwood, potash, farmland and lumber.People considered these trees as an obstacle to farming instead of considering it as a resource that can be harvested.The negative mindsets of people have given rise to burning of trees.The lumber that was cut previously was used to make furniture of homes, fence and brans.It was either sold in nearby villages or used for making ravishing furniture’s. The government of Vermont is taking care that proper usage is done on the landscapes and products obtained from it. They are trying hard to implement new schemes so that the farmers and residents will benefit by providing employment to suitable candidates. Support of people is required to save such landscapes.
