The Vermont Ski Museum
was originally founded in 1988 in Brandon by Roy Newton, moving
to Stowe in 2000, where it can be found today in the Old Town
Hall. The state has always had a close association with skiing,
and the Vermont Ski Museum tells the story of Vermont skiing with
memorabilia, presentations, scrapbooks, lectures and much more.
Visitors to the museum will be treated to the complete history
of the Vermont ski experience, from exhibits featuring some of
the first lift chairs and period clothing to those heralding the
tremendous (and economically vital) industry that it has become
today.
The Vermont Ski Museum is open year round every
day but Tuesday, 10-6, and is free to members (others by donation).
