The St. Albans Historical Museum is located
in an old (1860's) three-story brick schoolhouse in, coincidentally
enough, St. Albans. The Museum features a number of special exhibits,
including a 3-D diorama on the story of Lake Champlain, military
and railroad rooms and a Civil War exhibit (with information on
the 1864 St. Albans Raid). There are also local exhibits of quilts,
dolls, glass, medical instruments and more. The Museum is open June
12-October 6, Monday to Friday, 1-4. The cost of admission is $3/adults,
while kids 14 and under are free. The St. Albans Historical Museum
can be reached at 802-527-7933.
