Birds of Vermont Museum -
This natural history museum was founded by Robert N. Spear Jr. and features
a sizable collection (444 by last count) of carved birds. Represented
here are birds who make Vermont their home, with a special emphasis
on endangered and extinct species. Huntington.
D.A.R. John Strong Mansion Museum
-In 1934, the Vermont State Society Daughters of the American Revolution
bought the mansion to create a museum, which now features period rooms/furnishings
and herb/perennial gardens. The Museum also sits in the midst of a 95-acre

Henry Sheldon Museum of Vermont
History - The Middlebury-based Henry Sheldon Museum of Vermont History's
primary aim is to facilitate "... an understanding of regional
Vermont history through sharing with the community a wealth of objects
and written materials which document the history of Middlebury, Addison

Lake Champlain Maritime
Museum - The goal of the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum is to bring
life to Lake Champlain and its people, and it does this through its
many branches, including the Burlington Shipyard (with a canal schooner
recreation), the Maritime Research Institute and its primary element,

National Museum
of the Morgan Horse - The National Museum of the Morgan Horse shares
the Shelburne-based Morgan Horse Complex with the American Morgan Horse
Association and the American Morgan Horse Institute. Shelburne.
The Rokeby Museum
- From 1793 to 1961, the site of the Rokeby Museum was the home to four
generations of a Quaker family of farmers, abolitionists, artists and
authors. It was also one of the best documented underground railroad
sites in the country. Today it is a historic site and national historic
landmark featuring fifty acres of hiking trails, period-furnished rooms
