In addition to the regular exhibits,
the Shelburne Museum also features a series of special exhibits,
such as the Grandma Moses exhibit and a special Folk Art Traditions
show. The museum offers a number of special, educational and scholars
programs, and group tours of the grounds are also available. Several
of the buildings/sites are available for rental for weddings,
meetings, etc., including the Bostwick Garden, the 1840 Meeting
House and the Ticonderoga.
For the 2002 season, the museum officially opens April 13. From
April 13 to May 17, the museum is only partially accessible daily
between the hours of 1-4. The admittance price during this time
is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-18, and children under 6
get in free. Between May 18-October 27, all buildings and exhibits
are open (barring any closed for renovations) daily 10 am-5 pm.
The cost for admittance during this period is $17.50 for adults
(half day rates are also available), children 6-18 $8.75 (students
get in for this price as well), and children under 6 free.
