The Montshire Museum

Located along the Connecticut River in Norwich, the Montshire Museum offers 110 acres of exhibits in the areas of natural and physical science, ecology, technology and more. The emphasis here is hands-on, and the recent inclusion of the Science Park illustrates this perfectly. This outdoor section offers exhibits in water, sound, astronomy and natural history, with the highlight being a 250-foot long meandering watercourse called the Water Rill.

The Montshire Museum is open seven days a week, 10-5. The price of admission is $9.00 for adults, $7.00 for kids 3-17, and kids under 3 free (updated 5/08). Stop by their Website for information on educational programs they run (school groups are a primary focus), special exhibits and more. The museum can be reached at 802-649-2200.
