The Museum highlights over 200 years of maple sugaring
history, from the original Native Americans to modern sugarers.
Among its displays you'll find the most complete collection
of maple sugaring artifacts (molds, taps, etc.) in existence,
antique photos and sugaring murals, a simulation of the
syrup-making process, dioramas (family farm, logging camp),
live demonstrations of candy making and wooden sap bucket
making and more. They of course have a tasting room, and
a gift shop so you can bring the taste of Vermont home with

out when live demonstrations are planned.
The New England Maple Museum is located just off Route
7 in Rutland. The price of admission is $2.50 for adults
and 75 cents for children, and group discounts are available.

is not a more recognizable symbol of Vermont than the maple tree
and the wealth of sweet products it makes possible, and this rich
