Lake Champlain Maritime Museum

The goal of the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum is to bring life to Lake Champlain and its people, and it does this through its many branches, including the Burlington Shipyard (with a canal schooner recreation), the Maritime Research Institute and its primary element, the Museum at Basin Harbor. The Museum is open daily May through mid-October, 10-5 and features four acres of scenic grounds, outdoor exhibits, a replica of the 1776 gunship Philadelphia II, films, a giftshop, picnic area and more. The Museum sponsors a series of learning adventures, courses, workshops, lectures and school programs, as well as a number of specific events (see their Website).

The Lake Champlain Maritime Museum can be reached at 802-475-2022.
