The American
Museum of Fly Fishing was founded in Manchester in 1968. It
sports a sizable collection of angling memorabilia, including
rods & reels, flies, tackle, art, photographs and more. Special
exhibits include the tackle of famous Americans (ex. Daniel Webster,
Dwight Eisenhower, Herbert Hoover, Andrew Carnegie, Samuel Morse,
Ernest Hemingway and others) and collections of some of the best
tiers and rod makers in the world. The Museum supports educational
programs and traveling exhibits, as well as a quarterly publication,
The American Fly Fisher.
