Visitors to Huntington won't want to pass up
a chance to visit the Birds of Vermont Museum. This natural
history museum was founded by Robert N. Spear Jr. and features
a sizable collection (444 by last count) of carved birds.
Represented here are birds who make Vermont their home, with
a special emphasis on endangered and extinct species. The
carvings appear in habitats that their living counterparts
can be found in (ex. nesting habitats, or a wetland diorama).

The Museum is open daily from May 1 to October
31, 10-4, or in the winter by appointment. The price of admission
is $4/adults, $2/children, $3/seniors. Special group rates
are also available. Visitors to the Museum should consider
making a day of it by also visiting the Green Mountain Audubon
