Hyde Log Cabin

Hyde Log Cabin was originally constructed in 1783, and today is considered to be the oldest log cabin remaining in the United States. The one-room cabin, moved and restored in 1956 (with more restoration done in 1985), now houses a number of period memorabilia, including maps, furnishings, agricultural and household implements, etc.

The Hyde Log Cabin is located off Route 2 just north of Grand Isle. It is open July to Labor Day, Wednesday through Sunday, 11-5. Admission is $1, with children 14 and under free. Hyde Log Cabin can be reached at 802-828-3051.
