Driving
around the state is one of the best ways to experience fall foliage,
and anywhere you go is going to be spectacular. Promise :-). But some
routes really do rise above the rest in terms of foliage viewing opportunities
(and, unfortunately, traffic, but it's a necessary evil...). The Vermont
Department of Tourism and Marketing offers a list of 20
exceptional foliage tours located throughout the state. Included
with each tour is its length, detailed directions and a list of points
of interest, as well as printable PDF maps. Not to be outdone, select
staff from Vermont Information Centers offer their own favorite fall
tours that are also well-worth checking out.
