some of the state's main events for the month of October:
Champlain
Valley Antiques Festival - 155 dealers offer antiques such
as 18th & 19th century furniture, estate jewelry, quilts,
folk art, Asian antiques, Victoriana & Americana, china, pottery,
European decoratives, vintage clothing, and more in elegant room
settings and large booths. Held in the Miller Exposition Centre
on the Champlain Valley Expo Fairgrounds in Essex Jct.
Dead Creek
Wildlife Day - Head up to Dead Creek in Addison, Vermont to
take part in their Dead Creek Wildlife Day.
Vermont Shepherd Cheese Cave
Tour and Tasting - The cheese cave is where Vermont Shepherd ages
their cheeses, and they only show it about four times a year, so you
should really try to hit it if you're in the area. They also run a farm
stand, where you can purchase all their award-winning cheeses.
Weston Antiques Show
- Featuring 39 renowned dealers from across the U.S. with American and
English furniture, accessories, Americana, folk art, silver, samplers,
paintings, oriental rugs, jewelry and more.
Weston Craft Show -
Featuring fifty juried Vermont artisans, benefits from this show go
to help the historic preservaton of Weston. The show is located on Route
100 at the north end of the village.
