DEAD CREEK WILDLIFE DAY IS OCT. 4 THIS YEAR
WATERBURY, VT – Anyone who enjoys Vermont’s wildlife should plan on being in Addison, Vermont on October 4 for the second annual Dead Creek Wildlife Day.

Activities at Dead Creek Wildlife Day are especially for people who enjoy hunting, fishing, birdwatching, wildlife viewing, canoeing, or nature study. The location is Vermont Fish & Wildlife’s Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area on Route 17 west of Route 22A.

Events begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m., including wildlife demonstrations, slide shows, exhibits, field trips, and lots of family fun. Admission and parking are free.

Educational presentations will include a live Andean condor, peregrine falcon, and other birds of prey. Activities and demonstrations will include hunting dog handling, waterfowl calling and decoy sets, reptile and amphibian forest walk, flyfishing, building bluebird boxes, wildlife viewing from a boat or canoe, and much more. Wildlife artisans will be there selling their art and crafts, and local vendors will be selling refreshments.
