Description:
"Stillwater State Park is located on Groton Lake
in 28,000-acre Groton State Forest. This park has some
excellent tent sites and lean-tos on the shores of the
lake where you can boat right up to your campsite. There
is a boat launch so you can bring your watercraft as long
as you visit our milfoil washing station first. Stillwater
also has a beach for that cool dip on hot days. Just down
the road is the Groton Forest Nature Center with a large
display of birds and animals and historical information
about the forest. This is also the beginning of many of
the 22 miles of hiking trails in Groton State Forest.
Stillwater has 19 lean-to sites and 60 tent/trailer sites.
To locate Stillwater, go 12 miles west on U.S. Rte. 302,
