Description: "Running Bear Camping Area has a mix of shaded and open, sunny sites nestled under the shadow of Mt. Ascutney in the southern Vermont Village of Ascutney. For our guests that are looking to get back to nature, Ascutney State Park, our neighbor to the north, offers hiking on wooded trails to the summit of the mountain.

"We're even open year round for those that are interested in "winter type" camping activities! Our roads are maintained and we have several full hookup sites that are winter ready. Some restrictions do apply for winter stays."

Open/Close Dates: All year.

Directions: From I-91 exit 8, 1/4 mile to Rt. 5 north, 1 mile to entrance on left.
