Description: We camped here a couple
of years ago and had a great time (and yes, I admit that
Ticklenaked Lake was the hook that got us first interested
-- still looking for this history of this name). Located
on 100 acres, they feature 53 sites in all spread out
on a hill overlooking the small lake (most wooded). In
addition to a store and playground, they feature fishing,
boating, swimming, volleyball and a number of planned
activities. Now if I can just get The Monkey's "Pleasant
Valley Sunday" out of my head. :-)
Open/Close Dates: 5/15 - 10/15
Cost: $15 - $23
Directions: Take I-91 exit 17,
head west for 1 1/2 miles to Ryegate Ctr. Road (look
for the sign for Pleasant Valley Campground). The campground
lies about 3 miles out on that road on the left (you
can't miss Ticklenaked Lake).
