Ascutney State Park

Description: From their Website: "The park has 39 wooded tent/trailer sites and 10 lean-to sites that are arranged within two camp loops. Each loop has a rest room providing modern plumbing and hot showers ($). There is a sanitary dump station for RV's, but no hookups. There is a small picnic area at the foot of the summit, and a picnic area and shelter part way up the summit road."

Local attractions include a number of Windsor attractions, including the American Precision Museum, the Old Constitution House (the birthplace of Vermont), the Harpoon Brewery and Simon Pierce Glass. Other local attractions include Old Fort #4 and the Saint Gaudens National Park.

Directions: From I-91 (Exit 8): Go .2 mi E on Rt 131 to stop light, turn left on Rt 5 for 1.2 mi, then bear left on Rt 44A for 1 mi.
