Description: Located on the third branch of the
White River, Abel Mountain Campground features 93 grassy
sites (many shaded) with 78 full hook-ups and 15 water/electric
only sites. 37 of the sites are riverbank sites, and they
also have 15 pull-through sites for any size RV. Among the
perks here: a pool, two playgrounds, basketball, horseshoe
pit, biking and walking trails (270 acres of trails in all).
They also feature a number of activities throughout the
season, including bingo, ice cream socials, pot luck suppers,
pig roasts, Christmas in July and ongoing activities such
as kayaking, tubing and fishing.

go west on Route 66 for 2.5 miles, then take Route 12A for 2.5
