Stratton Mountain Resort is particularly well known
for its snowboarding (proof? it is the site of the US Open Snowboarding
Championships). It features a great snowboarding school, as well
as 6 terrain parks for beginning to expert boarders, skiers and
skiboarders. 14 lifts service 90 trails (42% novice, 31% intermediate,
27% advanced), 90% of which is covered by snowmaking. Stratton
Mountain has a 2003 foot vertical drop.
