Killington Resort

Killington Resort

Without a doubt, Killington is the king of Vermont skiing. Located just up the hill from Rutland, Killington features 7 mountains and 32 lifts that service 200 trails. It offers snowboarders a lot of perks with its 2 halfpipes and the longest terrain park in the East. Indeed, Killington can claim a number of "firsts" or "bests." It is currently celebrating 41 years of opening before any other ski resort in eastern North America. Its 3150 feet of vertical drop is the greatest in New England, and it offers the longest trail in the East, the 6.6 mile Juggernaut. Quite an industry has grown up around the resort as well, with 100 lodges and many dining options.
