Created by a damming of the Lamoille River to the south, Arrowhead
Mountain Lake offers some interesting contrasts. To the south, it feels
much more like a river, with light development on the banks and thick
woods. To the north, it gets much more marshy, with islands and great
paddling/bird watching opportunities. Heron, kingfishers and ospreys
all call this home (the latter have been nesting here since 1998).
