-Ten miles north of Stowe, Morristown is one of the primary commercial centers for Lamoille County. It's also a good location to view some impressive mountain peaks, such as Elmore Mountain (2688 ft.) to the east, the Sterling Range with White Face (3715 ft.) and Morse (3380 ft.) to the west, and the Green Mountain peaks of Butternut (2715 ft.), Bowen (2340 ft.) and Belvidere (3360 ft.) to the north.
