Located in Washington County, Marshfield was originally
granted by the Vermont legislature in 1782 to a group of Mahican Native
Americans. They in turn sold it to Colonel Amos Marsh a few years
later, resulting in the name.
Marshfield is hilly and wooded. It is bisected by the
Winooski River valley.

/ bed and breakfast sitting almost 1900’ atop Thistle Hill in
Marshfield, Vermont. Our farm is a bicentennial farm, built in 1976.
We practice organic methods. We believe that a quality life calls
for planting trees and settling down long enough to watch those trees
bear fruit.
