Ludlow, Vermont

map

Once the home of a General Electric aircraft parts plant, Ludlow is now best known for the Okemo ski resort that has shaped its economy and landscape. The plant itself is now filled with restaurants and boutiques, and perks such as a number of local lakes, the Okemo State Forest and the Okemo Valley Golf Club have assured that Ludlow is humming in all seasons. Attractions here include the Black River Academy Historical Museum, Crowley Cheese Factory and the Fletcher Farm Craft School, which offer close to a hundred classes in the summer in crafts such as stained glass, oil painting, wood carving and more.

Lodging:

The Andrie Rose Inn - The Inn retains the name of its former owner, Andrie Rose, who during the 1950s made her home a welcome refuge for skiers.

Cavendish-Pointe Hotel - With spacious rooms, enhanced guest services, and a whole new look, you'll find exceptional value at Cavendish Pointe with all the comforts of a first class hotel.

The Combes Family Inn - As the name indicates, The Combes Family Inn Bed and Breakfast, is a true FAMILY inn situated on a quiet country back road in the heart of Vermont's mountain and lake region. We invite you to explore our 50 acres of rolling meadows and woods.

Echo Lake Inn - Located just 5 minutes from Okemo in Vermont's beautiful central lakes region, the Echo Lake Inn was built in 1840 as a Victorian summer hotel.

The Golden Stage Inn - The Golden Stage Inn Bed & Breakfast offered travelers bed and board before Vermont became a state in 1791. Today, the New England Inn reflects over 200 years of history in its eight guest rooms and one suite.

The Governor's Inn - The Governor's Inn is a late 19th-century Victorian country home located on the Ludlow village green less than one mile from Okemo Mountain. Here you will find excellent food, a cozy room, friendship, and generous hospitality.

The Okemo Inn - The Okemo Inn features 11 comfy guest rooms, all with private bath. Each guest room is uniquely furnished and decorated, including either a King Bed, a Queen Bed or 2 Double Beds and will accommodate 2 adults comfortably. Children Age 6 and older are welcome. Pets are not permitted.

Restaurants:

Andrie Rose Inn - Seasonally changing menu, four-course dinner (and award winning).

Echo Lake Inn - Red Tail Venison, Ducktrapp Salmon... very fine dining!
