Located in Rutland County, Hubbarton was granted by
Benning Wentworth in 1764 and named for the grantee Thomas Hubbard.
Hilly and rocky, Hubbardton cuts through both Lake Hortonia
and Lake Bomoseen.
Historically, Hubbardton is best known for the Battle
of Hubbardton, which took place on July 7, 1777.
