Holland, Vermont

The town of Holland was granted by the Vermont legislature to Timothy Andrews and others. Located in Orleans County, it was probably named for Holland, Massachusetts.

Lumbering was always its main economic activity. Holland is also the site of the 334 acre Holland Pond, which is part of the Bill Sladyk Wildlife Management Area.

Holland is sparely populated, and has no true village.
