Georgia is located in the Northern
Champlain Valley just to the south of Saint
Albans and on Lake Champlain. Named for King George III, it also
spawned its own semi-famous George: General George Stannard, leader
of the Second Vermont Brigade that fought in the Civil War at Gettysburg.
The Lamoille River flows through the southern part of the town, where
it is dammed up to form Arrowhead
Mountain Lake.
