Elmore, Vermont

Located in Lamoille County, Elmore was granted by the Vermont legislature in 1781 to Colonel Samuel Elmore (for which the town was named) and other Connecticut Revolutionary War veterans.

Its main settlement is Lake Elmore, which is home to both a lake by the same name (Lake Elmore, 224-acres) and a mountain (Elmore Mountain, 2608 feet).
