Cabot, Vermont

Named for Sophia Cabot, the wife of one of the town's settlers, Cabot was granted by the Vermont legislature in 1781. It lies in Washington County.

Dairy farming has always been big in Cabot. Indeed, the village of Cabot is home to one of the best known creameries in the world, the Cabot Farmers Co-op Creamery. If you're ever in the neighborhood, stop by their specialty store or take a tour of the creamery.

The Winooski River begins in Cabot.

Events in Cabot include the Northeast Kingdom Fall Foliage Festival. Find all Cabot events here.
