Bridgewater, Vermont

Just west of Woodstock on Rt. 4 (and a short jaunt to Killington) lies Bridgewater. The town grew up around the woolen mills that perched along the banks of the Ottauquechee River. While the industry is gone, the mills remain, where they now house a mall and microbrewery that are a must-visit if you're in the area.

October Country Inn - October Country Inn has ten guest rooms, a cozy living room, and two dining rooms. The living room with its comfortable overstuffed furniture has a fireplace at one end and a pot-bellied stove at the other.
